Linux Users Group of Sacramento

Next Meeting:
December 3, 1998

See below for directions

This meeting will be more structured than the last one in hopes to better serve users with diversified interests. In other words, if you have a question to ask, come between 6:30 and 7. In addition we have to be out of the room by 8pm. Below is the agenda. We have to constrain the meeting to the main conference room. Last meeting there were groups who broke off for separate discussion. I am looking for a restaurant in the area where people can meet after the meeting or if they wish to break off we can select it as an informal meeting place after the meeting.

6:30 pm - 7pm
Open question forum
7pm - 7:50pm
Main presentation
Compiling the kernel. I will bring my Packard Bell and demonstrate compiling the kernel.

You are invited to the Linux Users Group Sacramento (LUGS) meeting. Linux is a UNIX type operating system. Linus Torvalds began the original creation of Linux in 1991 which is now supported by thousands of developers around the world. The source to Linux is open, so it allows for complete customization.
