If the original DNS fail the secondaries will hold until the expiration
period that's set in the original DNS record is met. Usually one week, no?
I can add saclug.org to our secondary DNS at the Bee but, like Brian, I
don't know how to set up sendmail for email failover (hey, what can I say,
the Bee uses MS Exchange for email and it ain't my department :)). I'd love
to learn though.
It might be better to have Rick be mail1 and mail2 since he's at an ISP and
all :).
The round robin idea is a cool one but would probably cross some line with
the folks here that pay the bandwidth bill :(.
