I updated the http://www.saclug.org site with all our new agenda. I
thought there might be some reaction to the regular upcoming installfests
that VA has sponsored for us. Am I the only one excited about this? I
think this will be especially cool, because the theory we talk about in
the meetings, we can follow up with practical application in the lab. Hmm,
sorta like, "Learn by doing." Sounds like my Alma Mater's motto. Any
Cal Poly alums out there?
Check out the agendas, because I ironed it out for next meeting and we have
Bill Saphir peciled in for april. I will talk about printing in march
and I hoping to get Harry to talk about Samba. I have not yet confirmed
it with Harry, so if you feel like an expert in Samba, and you can talk
about samba acting as a PDC. Let me know if you are interested.
And last thing, I burned all the GIFs on the saclug using gif2png. I
certainly would not want to get wrapped into a lawsuit with Unisys.
I am using version 0.7 and there were a few glitches (I had to obtain a
new Tux), but I got it all working. This is also the reason you see no
map yet for the community center. The gif I obtained from mapblast went
into darkness upon conversion. Well, I have been pounding on the site
for a few hours and the candle is going short, so more stuff later on.
Check http://www.burnallgifs.org for Unisys patent and conversion
utility details.
