Is your desktop windows or Linux? If it is Windows you can use Synedit
http://www.mkidesign.com/synedit/ it has syntax highlighting for about
20 different languages, project support, hex editor and other cool stuff
and it is free. It is very nice. On Linux GNOME has a few editors that
have HTML capabilities last I checked.
